Welcome
Vistors Corner
Hello!
My name is Joanne. I'm the head greeter here at Mt. Sinai. I'd like to welcome you and help you get oriented before your first visit. Though large in membership, Mt. Sinai has a warm, family friendly, hometown sensibility that invites all to worship.
Once you enter Mt. Sinai, the main sanctuary is situated just a few steps from the entrance with sabbath school leaders waiting to welcome you into their classes. This level houses the church office, deacons' office, mothers' room, infant classroom as well as the restrooms. At the east wing of the church you will find the fellowship hall, kitchen and numerous classrooms for our children within a comfortable distance from each other. Just one level up from the main sanctuary is the balcony, along with a the men and women of the technology department. The Children's Chapel is tucked away in the far north end of the church, with easy access to back into the sanctuary.
Mt. Sinai is always a buzz with activity. Our deacons, greeters and ushers can always point you in the right direction. Look for a warm friendly face to guide you through Mt. Sinai. And if you are joining us online via praizevision then simply click on the icons below- Welcome we are so happy to have you!
Many of our own students will be graduating soon. Take this opportunity to mentor a young person on what to expect in during their advancement to a higher level of education. Speak to them about discipline, character, time management, fiscal responsibility, self control, degree programs and careers. Listen to their concerns, DO NOT let it fall on deaf ears. If you don't have the answers find someone that does. Most of all celebrate the accomplishments. Give her flowers during graduation, but him a brand new wallet before he leaves for college, throw a cupcake party because kindergarden is over. Give them a reason to strive. In 1987 Dr Ben Carson made headlines around the world, after an epic operation that successfully separated twins joined at the head. Dr. Carson gives much of the credit for his success to his godly mother, who instilled in him a strong sense of Christian values and the importance of education. Dr. Carson has added to his neurosurgical career a commitment to encouraging young people towards excellence.
